An enthusiastic group of golfers make up the Adeje International Golf Club,  (Adeje is pronounced Adecky ) . The club enjoys a mixture of residents, ( mainly British ex- pats), & those who live here only in the winter months, known affectionally as “Swallows”. There is a good mixture of low & high handicappers.
The 27 hole Adeje Golf Course is situated in the sunny south of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, and since its opening  has hosted several major tournaments including the Mens & Ladies Spanish Opens.Due to the temperate climate in the Canaries, we enjoy playing all year round, & usually in shorts & short sleeve shirts. This beautiful, and sometimes demanding course, has greens bordering on the verge of volcanic cliff tops, with fantastic views over the Atlantic Ocean & the neighbouring island of La Gomera. Mount Teide, (rhymes with lady), the tallest mountain in Spain and a long dormant volcano & her sister mountains are set in the background of the course.
